A great of 1981, the 80s, of UK pop music and of ALL pop music of all time – it was also the UK Christmas Number 1, making it the second time in 3 years that a non-Christmas themed single got to number one (Another Brick In The Wall being the other one).
I was at school in London when it came out and, almost overnight, girls fashion in my school changed with everyone copying The Human League girls and their Princess Diana hairstyles in the iconic video. (From what I remember, Princess Di’s hairstyle came after the girls!).
I still play it and love it today.
