A great pop song from Trevor Horn’s The Buggles, who had just had their classic number 1 hit Video Killed the Radio Star in 1979.
Whilst The Plastic Age was the highest The Buggles would chart after that, Horn went on to great things, producing Owner of a Lonely Heart by Yes, Kiss from a Rose by Seal, and of course Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s breakthrough album Welcome to the Pleasuredome in 1984!
